Marg Scott - Director, MCS Consultants Pty Ltd; GAICD

Marg Scott is a highly skilled consultant and executive coach with a professional background in health and human services and a passion for social justice. She has held senior roles in government and non-government organisations and brings a broad range of consulting experience across health, justice, social and environmental issues at community, regional, state and national levels. Marg has worked over many years with diverse Indigenous organisations across a range of issues as well as people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

Marg’s over 10 years consultancy experience spans strategic planning, program and organisational reviews and evaluations, leadership and team building, training, organisational change and capacity building, board development and governance strengthening. Areas of expertise include mental health, homelessness, housing, health, education, advocacy, governance and access to justice. Building strategic evidence based approaches to advocacy work and designing robust, practical evaluation frameworks has also been a key focus. 

As an excellent facilitator Marg uses diverse participatory processes to undertake effective consultations with diverse stakeholder groups (including community groups and marginalised people) to ensure all voices are heard and meaningful dialogue is had. Marg has considerable research experience and authored and co-authored numerous conference papers and journal articles.

Marg is a graduate of Sydney Leadership, member of the Australasian Evaluation Society and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is a Director and recent Vice President of the board of Relationships Australia NSW.
