Allison Henry has a depth of experience in the immigration field, having worked both inside and outside government in various capacities over the past 20 years. The MRNC engaged Allison Henry to undertake our strategic plan in 2019 and the end result is a workable, culturally inclusive plan that staff, volunteers, Committee members and most importantly community members can relate to. The Navigating Government training ticked all the boxes – it was relevant, well delivered and affordable... Most importantly, the training program has increased the understanding and capacity of our members to more effectively engage with government, both elected officials and senior bureaucrats. Navigating the dynamics of Canberra can be difficult, being a classic area of ‘not knowing what you don’t know’. The training and handbook provided a comprehensive guide to engaging with politicians, allowing members to advocate more effectively in the future.

The NRCLC has engaged Allison to assist our staff with a number of projects over recent years, including strategic planning, facilitation and grant writing.
